Phoenix Opun Cup Championship ◎

That’s right, it’s a punning competition! We begin with an open call for 8 punsters who think they’ve got what it takes to sling their way to the top. The first round will consist of 1:1 pun-offs on a single topic. From our top 4, we’ll move to a different format where the punsters give us their best puns for three categories, and the audience votes on the top two. Those two then have one final round to see who will claim this year’s Phoenix Opun Cup.

OPEN TO PARTICIPATION:
The Phoenix Opun Cup Championship is (despite its lofty name) a friendly pun competition for all lovers of wordplay! It's opun, in that everyone is welcome to join in on the fun! There'll be a series of low-pressure competitions that will allow us to definitively crown Phoenix's top punner for 2025! No preparation necessary, just bring your wit and imagination! We'll be awarding prizes for the top punner, as well as best pun in show! Stop by to join in or cheer / jeer on your friends! Arrive by 10:15am to enter.
