Seamless Scene Edits
Editing techniques that move you from scene to scene with ease.
Learn the techniques that Wine and Weasels (Susie Sargent & Jerry Ruoti) use to move from scene to scene without waving down scenes, calling for lights, or relying on tag outs. By making clear offers with distinct characters, we can pivot into a new scene — often without moving from our spots onstage — which keeps the pace up and the audience inside the world instead of watching the troupe negotiate transitions. You’ll also learn how to make other characters “appear”, so you can expand the cast of the show without directly asking other improvisors to join you.

Susie Sargent has been teaching and performing improv for more than twenty-five years. She spent seven years with Un-Scripted Theater Company, performing full-length improvised plays, musicals, and the online-dating show Swipe Right. She now performs at festivals around the country as half of the duo Wine & Weasels and appeared in two seasons of How We First Met, including shows aboard Crystal Cruises.
